Sending Your First Campaign

So you’ve just purchased your subscription to Bold Xchange…

First of all, congratulations! You’re well on your way to touchpoint management that’s simpler, more efficient, and more effective.

Now it’s time to create your first campaign. But before you send your first eGift, there are a few things to set up that will boost your efficiency going forward.

1. Add Your Contacts

Selecting recipients is the very first step of creating a campaign, so you’ll want to add some contacts before you jump into the campaign builder.

You have a few options for this:

Manual Add: If you’re a human Rolodex and happen to know your contacts’ details by memory, you can add them one by one. Simply select Recipients from the sidebar and tap Create recipient.

Import: To add more than a few at a time, a CSV is simple and straightforward. From the Recipients page, tap Import and you’ll see a link to access our upload template.

CRM Integration: When you land on the Import screen from the Recipients page, you’ll have the option to sync with your CRM. Tap the applicable app and go through a few click steps to pull in your contacts.

You’ll notice Contacts are categorized by stage: Centers of Influence, Customers, Warm Leads, and Cold Leads. If you’re not quite sure how to categorize a recipient, leave them Unlisted.

2. Create a Budget

This step is optional, but can help you track your spending across campaigns. Bold Xchange allows you to send an unlimited number of eGift cards—you only pay for eGifts that are redeemed.

But because sends are unlimited, the redemptions could get away from you. That’s where budgets come in. As you’re building a new campaign under a budget, you’ll be alerted if your Projected Campaign Cost exceeds your designated funds for that budget.

Budgets can be annual, quarterly, or monthly, with Available Funds resetting at the end of the designated period. So you could decide you want to spend $250 or less on redemptions for Cold Leads each month. Whether you hit that budget or not, the Available Funds will go back to $250 on the first of the month.

3. Sync With Your Calendar

This is another optional step, but it’s a game-changer for any campaigns where you’re sending an eGift in hopes of securing a meeting.

Our Calendar Integrations allow you to sync Bold Xchange with your calendar in just a few clicks. To access this functionality, tap on Integrations on the sidebar, select the applicable calendar app, and follow the quick instructions. Whether you use Google Calendar or Outlook, we've got you covered.

Then, as you’re building a campaign, you’ll be able to fold a meeting confirmation into the redemption process—as your recipient is requesting their gift card code, they’ll be prompted to confirm a meeting using your calendar.

4. Build Your First Campaign

The time has finally come to build out your first campaign. This is an exciting moment. Head to the Dashboard, take a deep breath, and tap Create Campaign.

You’ll choose from your (now fully populated) Recipients database—you can create a campaign for one person in your network or for many, totally up to you and your goals.

Once you’ve added your selected recipients to the campaign, you’ll be prompted to set gift parameters—which is just a fancy way of asking you to add all the details about your campaign: Name, Gift Card Amount (per recipient), Send Mode, Budget (optional), and Meeting Requirements (optional).

Then comes the fun part: selecting your eGift options. Here you’ll be dropped into our full database of businesses in your local area, with filters that allow you to select based on neighborhood or type of business.

You can select one gift card, a handful, or toggle to all your recipients to see the entire database when they tap your eGift link. Recipient’s Choice is a very popular feature among recipients, so don’t be daunted here. There’s lots of ways to select eGift options.

With your recipients, parameters, and gift card selections saved, you’ll see all your details on a confirmation screen, then simply hit Send Campaign.

Ready, Set, Connect!

You could have your first campaign up and running (with all the bells and whistles) in 15 minutes or less. We’ve made the process as straightforward as possible because thoughtful business gifting shouldn’t break the bank or take up all your time.

Now that you've sent your first campaign, you can start analyzing your results, building templates, and tracking spend. That's right, you're ready for the big leagues.
