Sending eGifts Across Multiple Cities

Did you hear the news? Bold Xchange is now available in multiple cities. That means you can now send eGifts to local businesses in various regions. But how does that impact the campaign creation process? Let's break it down.‍‍

Same Campaign Builder, Multiple Cities

The best part of this expansion is that our campaign builder is mostly the same. You still start by adding recipients then plugging in your campaign details—unless you’re using a template, in which case some of those details will be preselected.

Where things differ is in Step 3, where you’re usually prompted to add your eGift options. At this point, you’ll see a pop-up that requires you to select a city to browse. Once you make your selection, you’ll have access to our catalog in that city. If you’re not ready to select the city, tap EXIT, and you’ll be sent to the next step in the process. All your details will be saved, but you’ll have to select a city and eGift options in order to finalize and send.

As you’re selecting eGift options in Step 3 of the campaign builder, you can double check you’re in the right city by taking a quick peek at the top right corner. There, you’ll see the city you’re currently browsing. To toggle cities, simple tap that area and reselect.

What Your Recipients See

You might be wondering: can my recipients toggle cities too? Great question.

The short answer is yes. The longer answer is yes and we’ve put in safeguards to make sure your recipients don’t accidentally land on an eGift for the wrong city.

When your recipients get an eGift offer from you, they’ll tap the link, input their email address, and get a one-time login code as usual. And they’ll be able to see your eGift selections as they normally would.

But in keeping with our Recipient’s Choice feature, your recipient will have access to our entire catalog—including options in other cities. Just like in your campaign builder, they’ll see in the top right corner which city they’re browsing, and they’ll have the option to toggle cities if they’d like.

Why? There are a couple of exciting opportunities for recipient choice across cities. First, your recipient might spend a lot of time in two nearby cities—like St. Louis and Columbia, MO.

Secondly (and perhaps more exciting), if your recipient is traveling to a new a city and plan to explore somewhere new, their Bold Xchange browsing experience could help them discover local spots and use your gifted dollars to enjoy during their trip. They make a new memory and you stay top of mind. Win-win.

By making our entire catalog available to both users and recipients, Bold Xchange makes it easier for everyone to discover and support local businesses. Even if it’s in a city you don’t live in or have never traveled to, our comprehensive catalogs and vivid descriptions take the guesswork out of selecting the right eGift to offer.

As we add new cities to our platform, you’ll be able to stay top of mind for more people across your network, regardless of where they spend their time. And those recipients will have even greater power to select local eGifts that are meaningful to them.
