Danielle's Favorite Things

Some of my fondest Bold Xchange memories from the early, before-we-had-a-shop days are when we reviewed a product from a Black-owned brand every week for a year. It was always an exciting way to connect with a brand—not just as a fellow entrepreneur but as a consumer as well. And I'm so grateful I still get to experience our brand partners this way.

The Protect Black Women candle isn't just a favorite of mine because of the statement emblazoned on the label, though of course that is a major draw. When you light the wick and allow the scent to fill the room, it feels like a  hug from a Black woman. That's special.

ImmuniTEA has been my favorite blend pretty much since I first tried it nearly a year ago. I take mine hot with a bit of lemon and honey.

Last but not least is just one of my favorite clays from Chocolate Kinks & Kurls. Not only do I consider their founder, Juanita, to be such an incredible, inspirational person. But her products are purpose-driven and effective. My hair thrives on these clays.
