Our cofounders Danielle and Doug contacted 400 brands prior to beginning work on the Bold Xchange marketplace. As customers of black-owned brands, they wanted to better understand “buy black” challenges from a business owner’s perspective. Since those early conversations, we’ve dedicated ourselves to serving shoppers and black brands—and building trust between the two groups.

Shoppers and creators of black-owned streetwear and accessories have a lot in common: they want items that make them look and feel good. We think that this empowerment can come in many forms—that’s why it’s our mission to feature a wide range of options and beliefs.
