This week’s episode of Boldly Black-Owned was a review of Lauren Napier La Rose Makeup Remover Wipes. The brand specializes in teaching their customers that there’s “beauty in taking it off”—’it’ being makeup. Where most makeup remover wipes and cleaners require intense scrubbing and leave behind skin that feels dry and brittle, Lauren Napier aims to make removal a luxurious skincare experience.

Lauren Napier has a number of makeup remover wipes, all made for different skin types and needs. The La Rose wipes infused with rosewater, starfruit, and cucumber extracts, a formula that is made for oily, acne-prone skin. The natural ingredients help reduce the inflammation and soreness caused by acne, soothing the skin even as you remove your makeup.

The Verdict

This is a great makeup remover wipe, and not just because it cleans your face of foundation and mascara. Most highly effective makeup remover wipes (the ones that take everything off) leave your skin feeling dry and irritated, almost as if you’ve rubbed it with sandpaper. But after using La Rose, my skin feels freshly washed, like I’ve cleansed and sprayed on a toner. In short, I highly recommend these.
